LCMS e-Learning administrator system

Students and e-Learning administrator Manager

This section allows a administrator to view and add new students and other administrators to the system, the administrator can then view information on each student along with their progress and allocated courses.

e-Learning Course Manager

Administrators may create, modify and remove any courses, lessons and lesson pages all from this area. Lesson pages are created using our Rich Text Editor system, this easy to use environment is similar to Microsoft Publisher allowing course authors to drag and drop text and images into their correct positions, copy content from packages such as Microsoft Word, insert external reference documents and much more. There is also an assessment creation tool so that tests involving true / false, multiple choice or free text one word answers can be created for students exams following each course lesson if required, their success or failure is then displayed within a simple progress chart.

e-Learning Multimedia Manager

All images, animation files, video and sound files may be managed within this section, the interface being similar to Microsoft Windows in its organisation gives the ability to structure files within folders for easy storage and access. A powerful image manager is included, this gives authors the ability to scale down large images to ensure they load quickly and efficiently, this reduces bandwidth requirements if the system runs on an intranet or speed of downloading if users are viewing the system using a slow connection. PowerPoint files may easily be converted into flash animation files and then used directly within content so there is no requirement for students to have PowerPoint loaded onto their PC systems.

Other e-Learning Tools

The administration area also contains a message board communication facility so news of new courses added or any other relevant e-learning information can easily be shared, a Newsletter facility allowing direct email communication to any other users of the system, a Document Manager similar to the Multimedia Manager providing easy management and organisation of any external reference documents that may be needed to support course content and a Template Builder allowing administrators to create standardised course layouts for other course authors to utilise.
